KLONDIKE DERBY “Polar Bear Challenge”

 

Come join us for the Annual Sons of Liberty and Flintlock Districts “Polar Bear Challenge” Klondike Derby & Campout February 2nd & 3rd, 2019. Patrols will compete against each other in a series of events that test Scouting skills, teamwork and spirit. Come prepared to run your Klondike sleds through the snow from station to station and for camping in tents, testing your winter skills. Although this is a district run event it is open to all Troops and Crews. Join us for the best Klondike Derby ever!

Where: New Location!!! – New England Base Camp (Camp Sayre), Milton, MA

When:    Saturday, February 2nd – Sunday, February 3rd

All units should plan to arrive Saturday morning. 

All competing Scouts must stay in tents.  (This is a winter skills competition after all.)

Registration includes participation in the event, a patch for each Scout and Scouter, and space for your troop to set up tents. Troops are responsible for their own meals. This is a good chance for your troop to host Webelos who are working on Arrow of Light.  All competing Scouts must camp in tents. Venturing Crews are also welcome to attend.

Each troop/crew that participates is asked to help run one station. This gives you a chance to participate in the program planning and judging of the competition. Please indicate on the online registration form which program area your troop/crew would like to help with.
