T.L. Storer Winter Camp 2020

February School Vacation- Overnight Camp

All campers will stay in cabins, with separate lodging for male and female. Campers will have the opportunity to build their own snow shelters and lodge one or multiple nights. All food will be provided and prepared onsite, able to accommodate most dietary needs. 

Check-in will begin Monday at 8:00am and programs will start at 10:00am. Campers will choose a program for the week that will include different merit badge opportunities. Program options are:

Winter Sports: Program includes Snow Sports Merit Badge, Wilderness Survival Merit Badge, and one additional merit badge, as well as a day ski trip to a local New Hampshire ski resort'

Nature Program: Program includes Environmental Science Merit Badge, Wilderness Survival Merit Badge, and Nature Merit Badge

STEM Program: Program includes Engineering Merit Badge, Weather Merit Badge and Orienteering Merit Badge

Transportation:

Campers also have the option of signing up for transportation to and from T.L. Storer for an additional $100. Pick up and Drop off will be at two locations. You can choose either New England Base Camp in Milton or Base Camp Express in Woburn.

Cancellation Policy
THE FOLLOWING POLICY APPLIES TO ALL CAMP PROGRAMS AT THE NORTHERN NEXUS

NOTE: $50 of all individual summer fees is non-refundable.

REQUESTS FOR REFUND REQUIREMENTS

1. Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing via email or letter to the Council Service Center.

2. Refunds must include the camper’s name, unit (if a participating scout), the camp session and an explanation for his or her absence.

3. Requests for refunds more than 90 days prior to the start of camp will be granted with the deduction of the $50 deposit.

4. AFTER 90 days prior to camp start date, refunds will only be granted for illness or injury (a doctor's note may be requested) or a death in the immediate family. Other emergency situations may be considered at the discretion of the Council Program Director.

5. An attendee who becomes ill or injured during camp may receive a pro-rated refund as determined by the Council Program Director.

6. Refunds will not be granted for scheduling conflicts, no-shows, weather or behavioral issues.

7. Refunds will not be granted to attendees who leave camp by their own choice or are asked to leave camp because of behavioral issues.

8. Camp registrations may be transferred to an alternate available session without penalty, up to two weeks prior to Camp start date.

9. Refunds will only be made to the Unit or Individual who made the original payment.
