Topsfield Moonraker Camp

 

Camp programs for boys and girls grades 1-5.

July 16th- 20th 2018

 

Moonraker is Spirit of Adventure's twilight camp, offering a unique experience for working parents to still enjoy a week of camp with their Cub Scouts and taking advantage of the cooler nights during the summer. Held at the Topsfield Fairground with programs designed for all Cub Scouts going into grades 1-5, Moonraker makes use of the fields at the fairgrounds for activities like sports, archery and BBs.

Highlights include standard program of shooting sports, nature, STEM, and athletics with Scouts in dens/ age level during the first half of the evening, and then once the sun starts to set, there is a special, theme-related program for the entire camp.

On Friday afternoon, parents and siblings are invited to join Moonraker participants for Family Day with a catered meal and closing ceremony. During the week, all Moonraker campers with take part in:

  • Games
  • Scout Skills

Cancellation Policy
THE FOLLOWING POLICY APPLIES TO ALL DAY CAMP PROGRAMS AT OUR SATELLITE LOCATIONS NOTE: $50 of all individual summer camp fees is non-refundable. REQUESTS FOR REFUND REQUIREMENTS 1. Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to the Council Service Center The Spirit of Adventure Council, 600 West Cummings Park, Suite 2750, Woburn, MA 01801. 2. Refunds must include the camper's name, Unit (if a participating scout), the camp session and an explanation for his or her absence. 3. Requests for refunds must be received by August 30th. Requests received AFTER August 30th will not be granted. 4. Refunds will be granted for illness or injury (a doctor's note may be requested) or a death in the immediate family. Other emergency situations may be considered at the discretion of the Council Program Director. 5. A camper who becomes ill or injured during camp may receive a pro-rated refund as determined by the Council Program Director. 6. Refunds will not be granted for scheduling conflicts, no-shows, weather or behavioral issues. 7. Refunds will not be granted to campers who leave camp by their own choice, or are asked to leave camp because of behavioral issues. 8. Summer camp registrations may be transferred to an alternate session, if space permits, without penalty. 9. Refunds will be made to the unit or individual who made the original payment.
