8. Iceman - melting ice
9. AntMan - ecology size animal identification
10. Wasp - height and distance measurements
11. Rocket - obstacle course


The details and rules which follow are subject to change. Any changes will be published as soon as possible. If any changes are made, they will be made primarily for clarification or safety reasons.
Don’t forget to come prepared for whatever weather conditions Mother Nature can throw our way. The Avengers Klondike will take you and your sled over a mile, maybe more!

Check-in
All units on Saturday morning must check in at Camporee Headquarters Tent-Avengers Mansion upon arrival. All units shall submit a Patrol roster of all participants and note the location where they have set up their camp.  

Medical Forms
All units are responsible for keeping a copy of their members’ medical forms.  


Parking
All unit vehicles must be parked in the parking lots as directed by event staff. No parking will be allowed in camping areas. There is limited parking so please be aware of this when considering how many vehicles/ trailers to bring. Absolutely no vehicles will be allowed on the soccer fields or the BMX tracks. There is no access for vehicles to the trails so you must be prepared to bring in your station equipment via sled or carry. For each vehicle please leave your Unit number on the dashboard. This will aid event staff in contacting the driver should the car need to be moved or any other problem arises.

Camping Areas
Camping areas will not be assigned; units are welcome to set up most anywhere in the camp. Some areas will be reserved for program and off limits to camping – units will be advised of those areas at the walk through on January 18th. There will be portable toilets available for the duration of the weekend at locations to be determined.

Station, SPL & Scoutmaster Meetings
This is a mandatory meeting for Station adults at 8:30 am and then for Scoutmasters and SPLs beginning at 8:45am on Saturday at Klondike Headquarters Tent-Avengers Mansion.    

Trash
Pack It In, Pack It Out.


Soup Stations
Each scout should bring a can of soup (NO CREAM OF ANYTHING) to add to the soup pots. There will be a vegetarian option too! Don’t forget a container from which to drink/enjoy your soup.

Campfires
There will be a campfire permit in place for Troops camping on Friday and Saturday night. Please bring an above ground fire pit and your own wood; there is no wood available at the Park. In case of incident the phone number of the Billerica Fire Department is 978-671-0940 or 911 if serious.

Sleds and Equipment
All Patrols should bring their own sleds, equipped for snow. (In case of inclement conditions there will be a decision at the walk through as to whether wheels are needed) 

Please see below for details of what should be on the sleds in the way of equipment that Patrols need to bring. This is by no means a definitive list, but it is a minimum, if Patrols decide they need more equipment that is up to the Patrol Leader. Remember to Be prepared!!!!


1.) Galvanized trash can lid, wood for building a fire, water for putting out
the fire.  
2.) 5 to 6 foot long poles & rope for lashing & knots
3.) A blanket and tarp, first aid kit, and compasses
4.) Mug & mess kit for each scout for drinks & soup throughout the day
5.) 20 index cards labeled with the patrol name, unit number, and town
6.) Can of soup for each scout for the soup/stew – BUT NO CREAM OF
ANYTHING
7.) Lunch – hot lunch to be cooked on the trail. All food, cooking supplies
and tools to prepare the meal must be carried on the sled. Don’t forget a
written menu and duty roster.
8.) Trash bag for all trash and litter
9.) Water bottle and extra water for each scout
Clothing


It is very important that you come prepared to be outside in cold weather! Proper boots, layers, no jeans, hats, gloves, suitable outer wear, change of clothing advised. And this is just for the day event, if camping bring more changes. You may be asked to leave if you are not prepared for the conditions
 

Patrols
Patrols should be of a size consistent with those used in the Troops.  Maximum of 10 per Patrol. Webelos Scouts can join in the Klondike for the day – No overnight option!
They can be integrated into a Scout Patrol or they can form their own Patrol; however, if this is the case, Two Older Scouts and Two Adults must accompany them.
