West Wind District Fall Camporee: LOST 

Where: TL Storer Camp- our base- and Parker Mountain 

When: October, 20-22, 2017

What: Three levels of Wilderness Survival Adventure and the opportunity to start the Exploration merit badge.

Intro – For early rank Scouts learning about surviving in the wilds of New Hampshire

Medium – For Scouts wanting more of a challenge but not yet ready to be off for two nights on their own

High – Scouts over 14 and 1st class, with Scoutmaster’s permission, to spend 2 nights as a Patrol on their own on the mountain.  Wilderness First Aid is a required part of this.  Can plan for this in early fall if needed but need numbers early! 


  • All troops wishing to go on the High Adventure part of this Camporee must register online before the deadline of October 6th, 2017.  Each Patrol must have a Wilderness First Aid qualified scout for the High Adventure level
  • All other Troops please register by October 13th, 2017

Cost: $10 per Scout and Adult Leader (fee waived for Leaders who volunteer to help run survival areas).  Fee covers patches, ribbons and supplies.

There is no rain date for the Camporee.

All Scouts and Adults should be prepared for all types of weather and conditions.  Pack according to the forecast

All troops will be responsible for their own meals. Friday night cracker-barrel will be provided

All Troops should bring a first-aid kit as well as have medical forms for all participants.  No need to turn them in.

Friday Night arrival:

Check in: 

  • All Troops should turn in Patrol rosters, for High Adventure patrols, detailed plans of their itinerary, emergency preparations and contact details.  They can then leave or depart in the morning for their challenge.
  • Troops staying in the Camp will be given their assigned camping area.
  • There will be a cracker barrel for the Scoutmasters, SPL’s and ASPL at 9:30 pm to go over the schedule.  Place TBD

Saturday schedule:

• 7:00am: Breakfast in site

• 8:30am: Opening Ceremony

• 9:00am: Instructional areas

• 12.00pm: Lunch

• 1:00pm: Afternoon hike

• 6:00 pm: Dinner

• 8:00 pm: Evening Campfire Show – all Troops are welcome to participate

• 9:00 pm: Scouts cracker barrel



• Wake up. Breakfast. Break Camp.

• 8.30am: High Adventure participants return

• 9:00am: Scout Inter-faith service

 •9.30am: Closing Ceremony
