What is NYLT?

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an exciting, action-packed program designed to provide all 13- to 20-year-old youth members of the Boy Scouts of America, both male and female, with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home, units and in future endeavors.

Course:  NYLT Week Sunday July 1st to Saturday July 2nd. Held at T.L. Storer Camp in Barnstead, NH. A second week will be held on July 29- August 4th.

 

Requirements: Scouts who attend NYLT should be at least 1st class and have attended at least one week at a week long summer camp in the past. 13 - 20 year old members of the Boy Scouts of America, including Scouts and Venturers.

Cost: The Cost is $475 per scout. This is a Spirit of Adventure Council specialty week and you can get 20% off with the New England Adventure Card.

Deadline: The deadline to register and pay is two weeks prior to camp.

Cancellation Policy
THE FOLLOWING POLICY APPLIES TO ALL SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS AT THE NORTHERN NEXUS NOTE: $50 of all individual summer camp fees is non-refundable. REQUESTS FOR REFUND REQUIREMENTS 1. Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to the Council Service Center The Spirit of Adventure Council, 600 West Cummings Park, Suite 2750, Woburn, MA 01801. 2. Refunds must include the Scout's name, Unit (unless Specialty Week), the camp session and an explanation for his absence. 3. Requests for refunds must be received by August 30th. Requests received AFTER August 30th will not be granted. 4. Refunds will be granted for illness or injury (a doctor's note may be requested) or a death in the immediate family. Other emergency situations may be considered at the discretion of the Council Program Director. 5. A scout who becomes ill or injured during camp may receive a pro-rated refund as determined by the Council Program Director. 6. Refunds will not be granted for scheduling conflicts, no-shows, weather or behavioral issues. 7. Refunds will not be granted to Scouts who leave camp by their own choice, or are asked to leave camp because of behavioral issues. 8. Summer camp registrations may be transferred to an alternate session, if space permits, without penalty. 9. Refunds will be made to the unit or individual who made the original payment.
