CLIMBING CAMP

 

Camp program for boys and girls entering Grades 6-12.    

August 24th- August 28th 2020

Day 1 of camp will be learning safety procedures and basics before lunch, and climbing after lunch! That's right, on your first day you'll be reppelling from Lookout Rock! Campers will spend the week learning how to rock climb starting with the basics and bouldering and even ropes course training. Great for adventurers just starting to work on climbing skills. This exciting week concludes with a climb at Quincy Quarries. Campers will be able to learn slacklining, belaying and if they are a scout, they will earn requirements for the merit badge!

You will also get to have all of the fun of a traditional day camp with bbs, archery, campwide games and more! 

 

Lunch is included in registration. Campers will be provided lunch from a rotating menu of hot and cold food items, side dishes, and drinks, including sandwiches, pizza, fruit, etc. We can accommodate most dietary needs. 

 

Optional Extended Day Program- The Extended Day program provides programming and supervision to campers following the end of the camp day. With this option, parents can pick up campers anytime Monday-Thursday between 4-6 p.m. Extended Day is not available on Friday.

Cancellation Policy
THE FOLLOWING POLICY APPLIES TO ALL DAY & RESIDENT CAMP PROGRAMS AT NEW ENGLAND BASE CAMP & SATELLITE LOCATIONS

NOTE: $50 of all individual summer camp fees is non-refundable.

REQUESTS FOR REFUND REQUIREMENTS

1. Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing via email or letter to the Council Service Center.

2. Refunds must include the camper’s name, unit (if a participating scout), the camp session and an explanation for his or her absence.

3. Requests for refunds more than 90 days prior to the start of camp will be granted with the deduction of the $50 deposit.

4. AFTER 90 days prior to camp start date, refunds will only be granted for illness or injury (a doctor's note may be requested) or a death in the immediate family. Other emergency situations may be considered at the discretion of the Council Program Director.

5. An attendee who becomes ill or injured during camp may receive a pro-rated refund as determined by the Council Program Director.

6. Refunds will not be granted for scheduling conflicts, no-shows, weather or behavioral issues.

7. Refunds will not be granted to attendees who leave camp by their own choice or are asked to leave camp because of behavioral issues.

8. All Summer Camp refund requests must be made prior to September 4th. No refunds will be granted for any reason if requested after this time.

9. Camp registrations may be transferred to an alternate available session without penalty, up to two weeks prior to Camp start date.

10. Refunds will only be made to the Unit or Individual who made the original payment.
